MPQ3369-AEC1 6-Channel Boost WLED Drivers

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MPQ3369-AEC1 6-Channel Boost WLED Drivers are step-up converters that drive white LED arrays as backlighting in small- to mid-size LCD panels. The series uses peak current mode as its pulse width modulation (PWM) control architecture to regulate the boost converter. The six-channel current sources applied to the LED cathode adjust the LED brightness. It regulates the current in each LED string to the specific value set via an external current-setting resistor, with 2.5% current regulation accuracy between strings. The low on-resistor MOSFET and a low headroom voltage provide higher efficiency, and the standard I2C digital interface offers ease of use. Protections include overcurrent (OCP), overvoltage (OVP), overtemperature (OTP), and LED short/open. MPS MPQ3369-AEC1 drivers are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.

IS32LT3175N/P Single-Channel Linear LED Drivers

ISSI IS32LT3175N/P Single-Channel Linear LED Drivers come with fade in/out and PWM dimming. The regulators serve as a stand-alone LED driver-configurable from 20mA to 150mA with external resistors, no microcontroller is necessary. A logic level “courtesy light” signal from the PWM pin can be interfaced to precisely drive the LED channel. The IS32LT3175P obtains a positive polarity PWM signal. In addition, the IS32LT3175N obtains a negative polarity PWM signal. The regulator integrates a 63-step fade-in and fades out the algorithm (Gamma correction). This causes the output LED current to increasingly rise up to the full source value after the EN pin is pulsed.
