Indoor LED Lighting Circuit Protection

Littelfuse Indoor LED Lighting Circuit Protection ensures a long operating life, increased energy efficiency, and safety. LEDs can be damaged by voltage or current surges, and by extreme temperatures. Littelfuse circuit protection technology protects LED assemblies from potential damage. Important circuit protection technologies include metal-oxide varistors (MOVs), transient voltage suppression (TVS) diodes, and fuses.

Automotive AEC-Q200 Qualified Standard Fuses

Littelfuse Automotive AEC-Q200 Qualified Standard Fuses meet AEC-Q200 requirements and set the standard for automotive fuses. These fuses have expanded the scope of AEC-Q200, Stress Test Qualification for Passive Electrical Devices. The AEC-Q200 qualified standard fuses have contributed to the development of revision E and the framework for defining the test requirements for fuses. The standard fuses have a wide variety of AEC-Q200 qualified fuses, including surface mount, cartridge, and inline fuses, which the designer can select from to develop reliable products for the automotive industry. The AEC-Q200 fuses are used for overcurrent protection in several applications such as sense line protection, battery management, onboard charger, connectivity, and ADAS.

PolySwitch Surface Mount Resettable PTCs

Littelfuse PolySwitch Surface-Mount (SMD) Resettable PTCs provide overcurrent protection for applications where space is at a premium, and resettable protection is desired. The components are reliable and capable of protecting computer and consumer electronics against temporary overcurrent faults. Package size varies from 0402 to 3425, while the current hold ranges from 50mA to 7.0A. The Littelfuse PolySwitch SMD product family is qualified to strict automotive standards (following the AECQ200 specification). As a result, these PTCs are suitable for protecting Electronic Control Units (ECUs) against damage from faults that would otherwise require costly, complete module replacement.

Automotive SMD Resettable Fuses

Littelfuse PolySwitch® Family of Automotive SMD Resettable PPTCs are designed to support the miniaturization trend in automotive electronics. These devices meet performance specifications for resistance, time-to-trip, and hold current at three temperatures (-40°C, 25°C, and max T). These parts are AEC-Q200 qualified, RoHS compliant, ELV compliant, lead free, and halogen free as well as ISO/TS16949 certified. Littelfuse automotive PPTCs provide current ratings from 0.05A to 3.0A and voltage ratings from 5V_DC to 60V_DC. These devices provide overcurrent and overtemperature protection for Electronic Control Units (ECUs), I/O ports and traces, telematics and infotainment systems, and motor and motor control circuits. Littelfuse Automotive SMD Resettable PPTCs are compatible with high-volume SMD assembly processes.

PolySwitch Resettable Devices

Littelfuse PolySwitch and POLY-FUSE Devices are Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) devices that offer a resettable overcurrent protection alternative, reducing warranty, service, and repair costs. PTCs increase resistance as temperature increases due to increased flow. The components are designed to limit unsafe currents while allowing constant safe current levels, resistance will "reset" automatically when the fault is removed, and temperature returns to safe levels. The ability of the PTCs to reset themselves after exposure to a fault current makes them ideal within circuits that are not easily accessible. PTCs are typically used as circuit protection in applications where sensitive components are at constant risk of damage from overcurrent conditions. The components are also ideal for situations where frequent overcurrent conditions occur or constant uptime is required. Littelfuse Resettable PTCs (PPTCs) are typically used in consumer electronics, power line, telecom, I/O port, process control and medical equipment protection applications.
