EPCOS / TDK Thermistors include negative temperature coefficient (NTC) and positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistors. The NTC thermistors offer a nickel barrier termination and long-term stability in high-temperature and high-humidity environments. The PTC series features thermally sensitive semiconductor resistors made of ceramic components in which electrical resistance rapidly increases when a certain temperature is exceeded. EPCOS / TDK Thermistors provide voltage and noise suppression as well as temperature measurement and compensation in measurement and control engineering, entertainment, household and automotive electronics, data systems, and telecommunications applications.

PTC Thermistors

EPCOS PTC Thermistors are thermally sensitive semiconductor resistors made of ceramic components whose electrical resistance rapidly increases when a certain temperature is exceeded. This feature makes EPCOS PTC Thermistors ideal for use in electrical and electronic engineering applications, for example as resettable fuses against current overload or as short circuit protection in motors.
